How Aerial Photos and Videos can help sell your home
Have you seen one of these flying around your neighbourhood yet?
If you haven’t yet, you probably will soon. The cost of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – better known as UAV’s or drones – has rapidly decreased, making everyday arial photography and videography a reality. Drones with cameras attached can hover inches off the ground, and soar up several hundred feet in the air. The photos you can create are stunning and the videos can be downright mesmerizing.
It’s a perfect way to showcase properties for sale, particularly those with unique architectural features and interesting surroundings. Listings with aerial photos and videos certainly stand out from the competition.
For example, here is a video of one of our listings that uses aerial videography:

The problem with the low cost of drones, is that a lot of people are using them in ways they probably shouldn’t. For example, if you’re going to use a drone for commercial purposes (such as real estate photography), you must have a “Special Flight Operation Certificate” from Transport Canada.
Of course, we work with a fully certified UAV operator to shoot our listings, who also carries substantial liability insurance in case of an accident.
