Top 5 things you’ll never hear a listing agent say to a buyer

1. "It's over priced..."

2. "It hasn't sold because..."

3. "There's a way better property for you around the corner..."

4. "You should sell your house before you buy this one..."

5. "Don't buy this home..."

It's not because the listing agent is a bad person, or dishonest, or trying to trick you. The listing agent works for the seller. The listing agent has a contractual obligation to represent the seller's best interests, and to try and get the best price and terms possible, for the seller. So, when you call the listing agent, or view a home with the listing agent, remember who they work for. Or better yet, find a good agent that you trust, to represent you as a buyer, and never call a listing agent again.

Here's more information on the benefits of buyer representation.

Surprisingly, I have heard them say that they wouldn’t show a home. I guess some of the remote/discount brokers aren’t that motivated.

I believe not all Real Estate listing agents do this. You should get a full time Real Estate representative that will get you the information that you need to ensure that you are buying the right home.
