We’re Nominated for a Yeggie!

Just a short update on what’s happening at Liv… Liv Real Estate has been nominated for a Yeggie – an award created to recognize and celebrate outstanding social media content creators in Edmonton.

Yeggies recipients inspire, evoke, inform, educate and entertain us, and they do it because they have a passion for it.

Our new site, livrealestate.ca is a social media aggregator for all of our agent’s social media content and was shortlisted in the “business” category by the Yeggies organizing committee. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and awarded in May.

We’re honoured and excited to be included with some other awesome local businesses:

We are also really pleased to see that Hope Mission was nominated in the non-profit category. Our agents donate a portion of each sale to Hope Mission with the goal of furnishing a suite in the new Doug Green building opening this summer.

You forgot to mention that Liv sponsors the Yeggies.

It’s a bit tasteless for a sponsor to be nominated. I see this as a conflict of interest.

You could see it that way, or you could see that we were nominated, then thought the awards were a great idea and agreed to sponsor them when they asked us. A lot of our clients and potential clients are big in social media and it’s good for us to be seen supporting a local initiative like the Yeggies that wouldn’t exist without some local sponsors.

Interesting comment TJ. :) Good on you for leaving it up Sara. A self serving initiative though. Not quite sure what the community has to do with it? A better initiative would be feeding or housing the homeless. But i guess to each they’re own.

We are currently giving a portion of each sale to The Hope Mission: link to edmontonrealestateblog.com, we’ve also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and have donated toys to Santa’s Anonymous in the past year and intend to do more.
