Edmonton Real Estate Market Weekly Update

Here is our update on the Edmonton real estate market. (Previous week's numbers are in brackets). For the past 7 days:   Weeklyupdate_2

New listings: 394 (334, 248, 71)
# Sales: 180 (133, 93, 54)
Ratio: 46% (40%, 38%, 76%)
# Price changes: 114 (104, 66, 30)
# Expired/Off Market Listings: 142 (92, 402, 453)
Net loss/gain in listings this week: 72 (109, -247, -436)
Active listings for single family homes: 1377 (1315, 1260, 1185)
Active listings for condos: 1244 (1216, 1145, 1118)

The market is getting busier (more listings and sales) just like it should at this time of year. The sales to new listings ratio is much higher than the 33% ratio we saw last year. The REALTORS® Association of Edmonton has reported 562 residential sales so far this year - I must have made a mistake in my report last week when I reported over 700 sales because we are nowhere near record setting pace. I'm very sorry about that.

The overall residential sale price currently sits at $314k (up from last week), single family homes at $361k (down from last week) and condos at $241k (up from last week).
