This is a little off topic so I hope you'll bear with me…
Anyone who has worked with our company and has met my mom knows what a dynamic personality she is and most importantly her passion for people and their story. About a month ago she read an article in “Our Canada” magazine about a Capt. in the Canadian military who is helping to train the Afghan army. In the article he commented that one of the questions he gets asked a lot is "What is Canada like?"
This is something we Canadians sometimes take for granted. So he showed them pictures in the “Our Canada” magazine. After reading this something inside my mother was moved to contact the Captain to see if she could set up a subscription for the Afghan army. In that moment she turned a great thought into action.
The other day she received an email from the Prime Minister’s office thanking her.
Last week I met with a condo devloper who has a very outside the box approach to marketing and sales. He is currently turning his thoughts into action. It's unlikely he’ll receive a letter from the prime minister’s office but I don’t think he defines his success in that way.
The point is: Turn those great thoughts into action.
