Does anybody know what FICO score the major banks use to qualify an applicant for a mortgage? I just ran my equifax report and it’s showing 692. I’m not sure if that will be sufficient.. I’ve done some research online and the opinions are all over the map. Any insight by knowlegable bloggers would be appreciated…thx
For CMHC mortgage insurance you’re required to have 620.

to get best rates and increase ratios over 680 is require. Banks have their own rating system as well, so each lender is little different.
