Impending Recession and Weather freeze comments

Our apologies for the inconvenience but the impending recession and the weather are not the reason that the comments not appearing on our blog.  We have sent requests to TypePad our provider to see if they can fix the problem. Their website says they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

The last couple of days have been hectic.  Getting last minute presents, parties and year end and so always brings a smile to my face.  Friday was a little untypical.  We fully expected to be out of the office by 2pm, but no stuff just kept piling up.  Most of my time was spent making preparations for clients coming in from Toronto on Saturday morning.  Normally this isn't a big deal but we had to make a number of contingency plans with Toronto blanketed by Snow Mageddon.  So at 5pm we leave to grab some dinner with a friend we haven't seen in a while.  My parents join us and then take our laptops home so we can head to a MBA graduation party for one of our favorite clients (the fun Bobbie).

All this leads up to me leaving my iphone in the taxi, which always helps when I'm working with out of town clients.  Special thanks to Shauna for being a good samaritan and getting my phone back to me. Fortunatuely I've worked with my clients several times and we all had a good laugh at my expense.

Showing homes in minus 28 celcius is always a pleasure especially when there is a lot to see.  One thing is for certain – pricing for properties are is over the place.  One of the most fascinating things is the property histories on MLS.  As a buyer, if you are buying a private sale where you can't see this you are absolutely crazy.  As a seller it is a good reminder of why pricing correctly matters.
